Geosciences division is involved in mapping and monitoring of geological features and processes through satellite data using remote sensing techniques. Aspects of Geological applications and research which includes Geomorphology, Hydrogeology, Geo-hazards, Seismo-Tectonic study and the Gravitational response of the earth hydrological changes are studied. It involves cost effective solutions for ground water problems of the rural poor using the space born platforms. Presently, this division has entered into research and development in various aspects of geosciences to meet the diverse interest of researchers and institutions.
